Saratoga Drama Group Presents "1940's Radio Hour "

1940's Radio Hour Opens January 26, 2008
This marvelously theatrical and winning show will transport you back to December 21, 1942, as a live radio broadcast of The Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade is about to take place. You’ll meet a loveable group of performers and station staff, including a harassed producer, a tipsy lead singer, a beautiful aspiring starlet, a wise-cracking stage manager, and a delivery boy who just wants a chance in front of the microphone. The spirit of that bygone era shines forth as they perform many hit 1940s songs like Blue Moon, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, I’ll Be Seeing You and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Packed with humor, beloved melodies and endearing nostalgia, THE 1940’s RADIO HOUR is a wonderfully entertaining showcase guaranteed to touch your heart.
